I had both of my babies here and the labor and delivery unit was amazing!! Such great nurses and midwives!
My good experience stops there, unfortunately.
I have been to the ER twice, once a few years ago and once with my first pregnancy---both charges being $600 with insurance paying next to nothing. (no surprise there!) April of this year my daughter had to make a visit to the ER and had minimal care, minimal services, and very unfriendly staff. After billing our insurance, our bill is a total of $1400! This is so criminal that they would increase their charges so dramatically, for no reason at all. I have a sneaking suspicion that I am paying the price for unpaid bills and poor money management.

Why would I further waste my time calling your customer experience line? I have spoken with multiple representatives from the SJRMC billing office who cannot explain my bill to me, or whom chose not to. Not only that, they were rude and dismissive of my concerns. Even my insurance company believes you have over charged me, and I don t think I m alone in these frustrations. Being the only nonprofit hospital provider in our area, this is very disappointing that you would treat patients with such disregard.
