If you are considering UPES as a genuine option then it is clear that you do not hope to qualify for the IIT's or the NIT's (especially the older ones). The college is certainly nowhere near the top colleges in the country but it is also not at the bottom. This is what I think about the college after spending two years in 'Planet Bidholi'.

Infrastructure: Poor... You will never know where the college began and where it ended. Most of the lab equipment are faulty (especially the ones in the electronics and the physics department). However, workshops, fluid dynamics lab and chassis lab are not that bad. But, NO auditorium. For anyone who disagrees, c'mon, Vivekanand Audi is no better than a classroom.













This is what I believe everyone currently at the University will agree with me. And Yes I do agree with the quote that 'UPES is the best last option'.
