Been visiting zoos in my state of residence and neighboring states and The Detroit Zoo is one of my new favorites. All exhibits, habitats, and enclosures are beautiful and perfect for the animals. Well kept, the employees are nice and knowledgeable, all is clean, they have bathrooms everywhere, hand sanitizer, and food vendors. You are allowed to bring food, there are many areas to sit and enjoy your meal in a decent family environment. And the best thing, there are peacocks roaming free around the zoo. Loved it and highly recommend it.
