October 30th 2018. 1 degree celcius. Radisson Latvija provided an amazing stay in Riga. Taxi from the airport or follow Google if you get a rental. Ample taxis at the airport with a 8 minute ride to the hotel. It's a 1-way street infront and parking underneath on the west side. Google street view around the block if you have your own car to determine the parking or ask when you check in. We had a rental and I drove with no issues. Check in was so fast I don't remember who checked us in! Room was cozy and warm. TV has regular shows, kid shows too in English. Small refrigerator and standard amenities. Bed was very comfortable with European outlets by the bed. Iron and ironing board in our room which is different from other European counties. Tub had SUPER hot water. Loved it! Room was very clean and cleaned daily. Figure out the faucet before getting in though. Left handle is on/off, right is hot/cold. Food was, okay, but only because we had the buffet for 16 euro. We were expecting a hot meal and the buffet was lukewarm. Next time I'll splurge and give them a 5-star rating by ordering off the regular menu. Bar downstairs was great. Eddie was entertaining and knowledgeable. Very comfortable seating and ample room. The burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. Skyline lounge was a fantastic view. Eva was our server, AMAZING! Our drinks were full and I asked for food and drink recommendations, she was spot on. The price was right and the Asian cuisine was delicious. 2 larger meals, 5 drinks 91euro. If the buffet had been better when we first arrived the Radisson Blu Latvija would have had 5-stars. Nice park across the street, river a few blocks away, and plenty of shopping including an indoor mall near by. Highly recommend this on your vacation trip.
