The absolute highlight of my trip to Egypt was my stay at Sofitel OLD CATARACT in Aswan. The wonderful colonial-style hotel has been perfectly renovated and is hard to beat in terms of charm, style and flair. The privileged location on the Nile with a view of the Nile, the island Elefantine and in the background the mausoleum of Aga Kahn makes your heart beat. In the luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, the guest feels truly regal. All the staff from the general manager Mr. Rafic Khairallah to the bellboy, with their friendliness, are courteous in making sure that no wish remains unfulfilled.
I stayed at the hotel in April 2016 and will return as soon as possible to enjoy this wonderful hotel.
