Francesco Moretti Review of DEPAS of Mycenae
It is an archaeological site located in the Pelopo...
It is an archaeological site located in the Peloponnese, very close to other important archaeological sites such as Tirinta and the ancient theater of Epidaurus and cities known as Nafplio. One thing that many do not know is that around Mycenae there are other archaeological sites much less known but equally very beautiful and interesting to visit such as Ireo and ancient Nemea.
The Mycenae site consists of three key points to visit. A large tolo tomb that remains isolated from the rest of the site, the museum and the central site of Mycenae. My advice is to visit the tomb in order of arrival, then the museum and then the central site. The museum displays important artefacts of terracotta, bronze and copies of the finds in gold including the famous Mask of Agamemnon. It is accessed with a single ticket and in some cases admission is free.
I strongly recommend visiting this site.
