My partner and I started the process of consulting...

My partner and I started the process of consulting Dr. Sharma about IVF. She doesn't see you as a human. You are a generic job to be done, ideally with as little effort possible. We had a unique history. She didn't listen to us. When we had questions, she basically talked down to us like "this is really confusing medical stuff, okay?". Twice, after ordering a bunch of tests that she couldn't explain the need for (and that the clinic would profit from), she basically just kept saying "it would be malpractice if you didn't!". We went to another clinic (Hannam), and they didn't even mention these tests! Hannam also took the time to review our case, and its unique history and came to the conclusion that, it indeed, made no sense. I'm glad we avoided the nightmare of dealing with this awful place, even if we had to pay out of pocket. There is a reason that CReATe has so many available OHIP funded slots with no waiting list... Reception was a pleasant and friendly bright spot, but unfortunately very disorganised. They had trouble with losing our emails (apparently their system was being upgraded or something), and even incorrectly recorded the birthday of my partner (even though it was written correctly on their own intake forms).
