Wonderful city. Amazing art and great architecture. Cheap to eat if you go to smaller streets bakeries or tapas bars. Our hotel tried to charge 12 euros for a plate of chips!! (I complained and they dropped that charge). Lovely parks and squares. Easy to get around on metro or bus. Tourist bus good idea to get a feel of the city. Museums aren't free but Pradio and Thyssen well worth it. Allow plenty of time for these enormous collections. Spaniards friendly and helpful.
