Full Sail is one of the best decisions of my life....

Full Sail is one of the best decisions of my life. I was miserable going to a traditional 4 year college. Then when I had a really hard family situation, I left that University for a year with plans to go back to college the following year. 3 or 4 months before my year off was done, I realized I wasn t going back. I couldn t bring myself to because I just wasn t happy there. Rarely did I have any connection with a professor. I just couldn t relate to them. I also realized the degrees I tried to do there were things that I COULD do but didn t WANT to do as my career in life. Full Sail offered me a chance to try and learn the skills to be involved with something I love. Without Full Sail I may not have gone back to college. The reviews I ve seen that say no one at Full Sail cares about the students are just not true. I ve had great experiences with professors and staff. Now for the reviews that say Full Sail is an easy A. There are classes that can be very easy for some people and then there are classes that can be pretty darn hard, not everyone comes out of every class with an A, but that s ok. You do your best and that s all anyone can do. Then there s Full Sail didn t help me find a job like they said they would . So Full Sail does have Career Support, but that doesn t mean they make a resume of you and start applying for jobs for you (the will assist in the professionalism of your resume). That s not logic. You get the degree and it is up to you to apply for jobs. Complaining about how long it s been since graduation and still no job? The entertainment industry can be very hard to get into, but it s not impossible. Do I know of people who got in right out of college? Yes I do. Not everyone can get that lucky, so don t go out expecting a job to be handed to you. Finally as someone who s parents were so against the idea of Full Sail, i say to the kids, stand your ground. Do it respectfully, but if you feel like Full Sail is where you belong then don t let ANYONE talk you out of it. To the parents, my parents hate my video games and hated that I wanted to go into the video game industry. Not all parents are skeptical of the entertainment industry, but if you are and your child is wanting major in something for the entertainment industry, please try to be understanding about it. Realize that your children love and respect you, but this also our lives and we have do what makes us happy. One can have a bright future in entertainment. I ll always be thankful for Full Sail University. Good luck to everyone who will be or has joined Full sail!
