What a dreadfull experience so far

What a dreadfull experience so far

I placed an order with a Hunter Douglas dealer in the 1st week of December 2019 for 2 Motorized Luminettes (with Powerview) for 2 Patios. This was done after speaking with many dealers. All dealers were qualified and it was altough decision but in the end, it just came down to price (although an unexpected family matter suspended the purchase)

On the order. The specs called for the Luminetttes to open from Left to and right on 1 patio and right to to left on the other . Unfortunately Hunter did not make the Luminettes according to the specs but rather they made the Luminettes so that each Patio luminette opened from the middle! Thus, the installer arrived and when discovering this, the installation could not take places. It was essentially a waste of precious time for the installer and Customer, although I suspect the installer was paid for his time.

I waited a few weeks for HD to remake the proper configuration according to specs on the original order. I also had to accommodate the installers schedule once that correct order arrived

So on Feb 4th the Installer arrived with the newly made set only to discover that Hunter sent the wrong bracket Incidentally, we also looked at the box from the 1st incorrect shipment (hoping for the correct bracket) but the bracket was the same. So Hunter really sent the wrong bracket twice.

When the Hunter dealer ordered the correct bracket (sometime after Feb 4th) it was ordered with a 2nd day or overnight shipping request but Hunter did not pay attention to that Shipment Request and instead shipped the bracket via regular shipping

Hearing that from the company owner on Feb 12, I had enough. I called HUNTER Douglas Corporate office and escalated it. WFeb 13th I called back and spoke with a woman named Jandell who eventually got to the bottom of this mess. However, that did not go smooth either as I still had to do more legwork even after Jandel contacted the dealer.

Now understand that Luminetes are suppose to be the top of the line window treatment from Hunter Douglas. 96 x 84 Patio Luminettes especially are quite expensive This was an unanticipated nightmare . It is pure complacency and poor Quality control on Hunter s part and we are now scheduled for a Feb 14th instaIl. Tonight i will pray to the Window treatment Gods that it goes well.

But Im definitely shopping elsewhere for the 2 bedrooms. No more Hunter Douglass
