Don't be put off by the price - this is an amazing experience over five floors, with musical stairs, holograms, optical illusions (one a tunnel that mimics movement so well, you nearly fall over!) and puzzles - all that before you even get to the actual camera obscura on the top floor, which is well over a hundred years old.

This attraction entertained four children aged 5-10 for a good hour and a half (we could have spent longer, but lunch beckoned), but it entertained the adults just as much! The giftshop has some nice stuff, too, not just tat.

It's worth booking a slot for the actual camera obscura because it gets very busy. It's also best to go on a sunny day, if you can, because the camera obscura is 'powered' entirely by daylight.

Be warned - while you walk up to the location, and queue to get in, visitors who are already inside will be spying on you! But you can get your own back on the next lot.
