Let me make this clear, the last representative I spoke to in order to confirm my cancellation of service was very nice and I wish them nothing but health and happiness. I don't recall getting their name but my call was recorded so it may be possible for the business to look it up should they want to know who deserves to be recognized.
As far as my personal experience with the company overall, I was signed up by a pushy sales guy who came with a group of other Vista representatives to our apartment complex where soliciting is not allowed. The guy told me he could sign me up with their company that would save me "a ton of money" if I agreed to get my gas through them via PG&E with the gas procurement program they provided. I told him I wasn't interested but he persisted and promised I wouldn't regret it. He seemed desperate and I reluctantly agreed to sign up in hopes that he was right about me not regretting it. Fast forward to now: I regret it. I stayed with them longer than I should have (well over a year) but was also trying to give them a fair shake. The first so many bills didn't seem so bad but it feels like things had gotten even more expensive with them and often times cost me more than PG&E was charging me AND it appeared as if I was paying TWICE (once for what PG&E charged and once for what Vista charged) for the SAME gas. My bills got higher and higher each month despite my efforts to conserve whenever and wherever I could. Upon further review of my past billing periods, Vista was to blame for a majority of the price spikes over past year's bills during the same time of year weather-wise and my usage remained about the same. I should have canceled sooner because I didn't save "a ton of money" with them; I only got cheated out of more. I want my money back but that's not happening. The least I can do is warn you guys about this sham of a company. When I called PG&E to also let them know I wanted out of the program, I asked the guy if he thought Vista was legit, to which he stifled a laugh and said that he could not confirm nor deny their legitimacy as a business, but that they did exist as a company that could procure gas for others. That much I already knew. As far as them being able to save you money? Don't even bother.
