Renova itself has a good reputation. I am giving it 2pts. because of the financial institution their contract is with, Sunpower Solar. The contract is in small print and lengthy. I live in the Coachella Valley and we get the sunshine most of the year. 2020 I had a credit on my 'settlement' bill
in the amount of -$55.00.
In May 2020 Renova's equipment failed. It was the inverter. It was out May to Aug. for 94 days and their equipment did not produce any energy for the grid. It took Renova that long to replace it, Even after phone calls.
At the end of my settlement bill for 2021 I owed $621.80 payable to SCE.
Thankfully they have payment plans..lol
I am screwed. Apparently the contract does not make-up for the credit you should have. After 'reviewing' my account, Sunpower is not even making up the SCE bill balance. Sunpower is only covering $606.46 of the $621.80 of my SCE settlement bill. Which means I am out of the credit I usually have on my settlement bill and the shortage of the settlement total.. And I have yet to receive the refund, which is mailed from San Jose, a 3 day mailing process.
Lesson: Make sure your system is working and if not, get on the phone right away and get the problem fixed.
UPDATE: 4/12/2021 I finally got through to Sunpower "Payment Solutions Dept". Inquired about my refund check, gave them my name and I hear "you are not in the system". Wow, so where have my payments been going! Maybe I should stop making payments. lol
