I visited Brighton Asylum the night after Halloween.

I personally was not scared at all however there were quite a few patrons (mostly teenagers) who were terrified and screamed through the entire haunted house, so some may find it scarier than I did. The scariest part of Brighton Asylum for me was walking though the dark unlit streets and parking lot surrounding the haunted house.

I give the asylum two stars however because the decor was outstanding and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. There were numerous horror film references spread throughout the two buildings.

If anything, I d say go visit if you like horror movies, especially cult classics - you ll appreciate the amount of work put in.

If you have been to other haunted houses before and you re going here to get scared, you probably won t be.
