I learned to ski as a child at Snow Valley but in my college years, Mountain High was where I ran a rodeo Show between 2008-2011 and again recently. They really are California's fastest and safest resort to drive to unless you are lucky enough to be able to make a living in Big Bear. I attended Mountain High with California State University of San Bernardino Outdoors Adventure program after I decided to make skiing a hobby and I purchased my first peer of skis. I was the only skier in the college group but in time i started to drive up there alone, even after class and at night. Going skiing became part of my college life. I remember back when at night Mountain High had Lazer Lights on the trails, a DJ by the line to get on the lift and laser spelling SWAT "Summer Winter Action Tours" on the Snow.
Remember being at work in college during rainy days and when it was snowing while i was in class I would drive up, put on chains and ski East until East closed and moved to West. I hit the terrain park on my Skis.
People complain about the ice and that is true, But the corn wet snow during the day makes going through the trees fun.
I just started to go up there again. Make the best of what there is. Have fun with it.
