After my grandmothers fall, she was sent to Carmel Richmond Rehabilitation Center we knew there was no way she would be able to come back home and take care of herself. We wanted her to remain at Carmel in their long-term care facility. Without Medicaid we could never afford to keep her there. We didn t know where to begin to start the Medicaid process. Luckily we were referred to Senior Planning Services.

My grandmothers case was a little difficult as we were missing several of her important documents and her bank was in Florida and we are in New York. That was not an issue for our case manager Esther Heber. Esther instantly made us feel comfortable about our concerns and vigorously worked on our case, keeping us apprised during the process. She was just an email away, quickly responding to our many questions and concerns. Including explaining the necessary insurances my grandmother should have.

What a relief to our family, Esther s hard work prevailed and my grandmother was awarded Medicaid with no penalty. My grandmother is now happy in her new home, and we are happy to know that we no longer have to worry about the possibility of a financial burden because of the diligence of Esther and Senior Planning Services. We couldn t be more thankful.
