After our first stay last year as a couple we were now with the whole family in the European yard (2 double, 1 single). Big advantage of the hotel is, that it is located directly across from the main station, so when arriving by train so no taxi or public transport must use. Next advantage for a city trip: From the main station all subway and S-Bahn trains go. All sights in Hamburg can be reached very quickly. The HVV ticket is included in the room rate for the first 3 days of your stay.
At first I had reservations about whether it can not be louder at the station at night. With our rooms to the side streets this was absolutely no problem.
The next advantage of the European Court is the Eurotherme. If the weather does not play along, just go for a swim. The spa is not new, but well maintained. But the construction over several floors has something! Also recommended is the waterslide, which leads through the courtyard. The sauna and gym we can not rate, because not used.
To the rooms: The two double rooms were already renovated, in the single room unfortunately only the bathroom. But everything is clean here.
On weekends it can happen that you can not find a seat in the breakfast room directly. The breakfast itself but the quality and selection is good and leaves nothing to be desired.
