I was admitted to this Hospital on Saturday even...

I was admitted to this Hospital on Saturday evening with chest pain and syncope. I have a very extensive cardiac history, suffering from a heart attack just this past August. I informed ER staff that I had a positive heart stress test just this past week at home in South Carolina but unfortunately my South Carolina Doctor didn t call and tell me my stress test was positive and that I needed to admit for a heart cath until after I was already in Texas. I of course informed the Doctors at Memorial Hermann of this but they insisted they do their own tests which they say show my heart function was normal and told me I was safe to go home and had a medical student discharge me without ever seeing the real doctor again. As my nurse was walking me out the door, she suggested I go next door to CHI Saint Luke s Hospital. At first I was afraid of how this would be perceived - I didn t want to seem like I was hospital shopping or doctor shopping but after a couple of hours of thinking and some more acute chest pain I literally drove next door to Saint Luke s and was also promptly admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit. St. Luke s did a heart cath on me the next day and to my horror I went into CARDIAC ARREST 3 times and had to be revived 3 times. My right coronary artery was 100 percent blocked. I was a LETHAL HEART ATTACK waiting to happen and all Memorial Hermann can do is have a student send me home just 24 hours before. If you want to live go to Saint Luke s hospital as Memorial Herman was a TOTAL JOKE. Teaching hospital or not I ALMOST DIED. If it wasn t for that one nurse I wouldn t be alive today. Memorial Hermann will be hearing from my Attorney this coming week and I will not rest until everyone hears my story.
