Really the only place around to take injured wild birds. I have taken multiple injured birds here--a Cormorant found on the side of the road, a Barred Owl injured in a nearby backyard, Red-shouldered Hawk and Red-tailed Hawks. An American Woodcock after it collided with a downtown building. The staff and volunteers do a tremendous amount of work to save wild birds--and, though they are located inside a state park, they receive no state funding.
