The hotel is typical Fairmont quality and centrally situated. The staff is attentive and personable, and service is prompt and cheerful. Also I enjoyed the connections to the underground shopping and coffee shops, it wasn't really necessary for me in the early fall, but I suspect that these hamster-tubes would be a huge plus in the winter.

If you can get over the concrete eyesore that Portage and Main is, it's a good place to stay while in WInnipeg.
