I have Owned two Acura MDX SUVS since 2005. I have been going to Lindsay Acura to get my car serviced since then. Before, when I would go it was expensive, however, I felt that they were the experts so I remained a customer. Here in the past year the service has gone down hill. Every time that I go for simple things they usually suggest a bunch of recommended services to add on to your bill.

This week my check engine light came on for a catalytic convertor. Lindsay wanted $908 to fix it . I dropped my car off and I told my service advisor that I had been emailed a coupon from them for 15% off of any service . Of course, they called me and recommended a Brake flush for $170, a Cabin filter, and some other filter that I can't remember. I hesitated but of course the service advisor convinced me that major problems would occur if I didn't get the work done so I did..

when it was time to pick up the car, I went to the cashiers office and I handed her the coupon. The first thing she said is "Let me see if we can use this, we may not be able to use it if you already got a discount." Well...I didn't have any discounts..
so the second thing was " Let me go check with the guys in service to see if it applies to the work you got done.. I wish that they would specify on these coupons." So.. she walked to the service area and of course, she came back and said that I could not use the coupon. She then explained to me that I could use the oil change coupon for $21.95... ( of course they emailed me the coupon the week AFTER I got the oil changed, so I am not due for one and when I am this coupon will be expired.) I asked for the manager and out comes Andy the night supervisor.

I explained to him what I was wanting to do and that I had already mentioned it to my service advisor. He said that he knew nothing about the coupon until today (3/6/2014).

This coupon was sent to me at the end of February might I add!!

He had me explain WORD FOR WORD what I said to my service advisor when I dropped off my car.. He said the coupon was for recommended service, and that I knew what was going on with my car. I told him that they recommend extra services every time that I come! .. After him asking me to explain the story at least 5 times over and over he told me that he wasn't following me because I kep changing my story...

WHY DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO YOU?? LINDSAY SENT ME THE COUPON AND I NEED TO EXPLAIN TO YOU WHY I WOULD LIKE TO USE IT???!!!

I told him that I was not changing the story but he is not listening to me.

He said "Well since I am not listening, I'm not doing anything .You have a nice day ma'am"

so I asked him.." Your not able to honor anything that the company emailed me?"

He said "I don't have to honor anything"

finally he said "I can give you 10% if that will make you happy"

Needless to say.. this is the last money I will fork over to Lindsay Acura.. have been a loyal customer for YEARS...just a few months ago they got me for $1100 in RECOMMENDED SERVICE.

I work too hard for my money to be treated like I'm trash. If you need your Acura fixed don't go to Lindsay if you wanted to be respected as a human being.
