The vet my cats normally sees works at a wellness clinic. They only thing they don t do is surgery so today (11/20/19) I took my 3 male cats in to be neutered. I had my oldest male neutered there last year so I thought it would be okay. BIG MISTAKE! Drop off went okay. The vet doing their surgery seemed competent and he answered all my questions. Great. Time for pick up rolls around and I get my babies back. On the way home I notice one of them is bleeding. I immediately called them (4:55pm) and they said to watch it and bring him in tomorrow if I m still concerned. Something was not right seeing as the other two were fine. I took them to the wellness clinic their vet works at and he immediately diagnosed him with a hematoma and said to call Angels again. I called them (5:11pm) and they said to bring him in quickly. I informed them that we live in Saint Joseph not Savannah so it would take 15 minutes. They put me on hold and then came back and said to bring him in tomorrow. WHAT?! The vet at the wellness clinic immediately sent me to Countryside Vet Clinic. Once there, they checked him out and decided he needed to be watched overnight and a dose of antibiotics just in case. Thank god for the two vets at the wellness clinic and at Countryside.

I understand that complications happen with surgery. However, they could have seen us considering they were the ones who did the surgery. Angels says they close at 5 however the recording they have when you call says they close at 6 and they stop accepting walk-ins at 5. They had plenty of time to see us but chose not to. They don t care about the animals. They only care about the money and how much they get by being the cheapest in the Midwest I guess it s true that you get what you pay for.

Thankfully my baby will be okay, no thanks to angels or their staff. If you love your animals and want them actually cared for I recommend anywhere but Angels.
