Went here 3 weeks ago on an emergency room visit.I have had 6 or 7 seperate encounters with kidney stones and I am very familiar with what they feel like.I would like to start by saying all the doctors/nurses were very nice and caring. Now that that is out of the way I would very much like to stress that if it is not a deathly emergency stay away from here!As stated I have had a lot of experience with kidney stones/emergency room visits from them.I also am familiar with CT scans and the price a visit costs. Now the doctor could tell I have had them before and knew exactly what it was so no CT scan was done.I literally came in the ER told them I had kidney stones they made me pee in a cup, saw the blood in my pee, and gave me pain medicine and as per usual sent me with a prescription to help for a day or two and sent me on my way.As of today 02/20/20 I recieved my bill in the mail and I am straight mortified that my bill not only has the itemized breakdown of the visit completely blank, the Bill is for $3311.79.This is literally insane for what was done especially with no CT.I understand ST Johns has a Monopoly on the emergency room visits in Jackson Hole, but this level of pricing is u godly. My last kidney stone I had 2 seperate ER visits with a CT scan with each visit and about 9 hours of ER time between the two visits abd my bill was $3500.Considering that i was in and out of the ER in a little over two hours and had diagnosed myself, I really dont understand how max $100 worth of pain medicine makes the bill $3300!!! Was it $3200 to put an iv in?Like I said all tge doctors were very nice and all but who wouldnt walk around with a smile if your making $1400 an hour.I dont often use the word but I am completely flabbergasted at the billing and honestly the next kidney stone I have, I hope I dont get any infections or stones stuck because I literally cant afford even the pain relief treatment I was given.Very disappointing.
