My Toyota Sienna 2011 sliding door cable broke. I called 2 weeks ago to have a quote. It came out with $850, included part and 5h30 labour!
Note the part costs $74.26.
I found it was way too expensive. I decided to order the part with another Toyota shop.
I dismounted the door. It took me 1h30; disassembly and assembly; knowing I am not a handyman and took a very slow pace to do it.
I am very upset about the quote, $850. This make me doubt about the sincerity and honesty of Gateway Toyota. I can understand the hard work of certain tasks.
How do you explain a quote of 5h30 VS 1h30? Is this normal?

For few details, note, I spoke to the parts department. He was able to find my van info in your system and reconfirmed with me the year and model of my van. Then gave the quote. So I am definately not very convinced by your comments about a 2007 Sienna!
Even if it was a 2007 sienne, would that take 5h30?
