During a visit to a room in the hotel Drouot, I left a purchase order on a painting, an oil on canvas that was in perfect condition and was to go on sale the next day. I specify that it was also in perfect condition when going on sale. I live far from Paris and could not go to the sale. With the slip, I went to the store to get my painting, the storekeeper brought me the paint that was torn, a good snag of the canvas that was not there during the visit the day before and not at the moment of the passage for sale, because it was certified to me. I had the table restored at my expense and after a year of steps, letters, mails and phone contacts, I could never get reimbursed for the restoration of this table by the company.
