The InterContinental Athenaeum has the best and large stateroom and the largest and ellegant lobby among two InterContinental hotels in Los Angeles and one in San Diego.

It does not charge any Resort Fees. The front desk staffers have no idea what is the Resort Fees is.

Buying the InterContinental Club access is worth it at $80.00 for two.

The hotel provides a shuttle bus every 30 minutes to/from Syntagma square, from which you can walk to a world famous Acropolis where you can take a breathtaking Acropolis views and visit Acropolis Musiem from which you can see and take a photo of 5 original Caryatids, Porch of Mainden. The 6th figure is still in the British museum.

You must visit the top roof bar or restaurant at the 9th floor to have a great view of Acropolis and Parthenon, if you do not have an access to the Club Lounge.

Please be aware that most yellow cab drivers refuse to take you back from the Plaka area to the hotel due to a short distance ride and a large demonstration that blocked the main streets. You may need to have an alternative plan by using Uber. Finally, I paid $20 euro for a short ride back to the hotel.

Please be aware that tell your cab driver that a flat fee of $38 euro when you start to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. One driver turned on a meter to charge my wife $45 euro from the airport to hotel.

Also, from the hotel to the cruise terminal, the front desk staff told us that it usually costs $10 euro. He is correct, but the taxi driver today asked us for $20 euro after ending the ride because of the four luggages charges he told us.

A hopon/hopoff bus will stop by at the hotel.

Most staff are very friendly.
