My first experience of ordering from SRB is very much like the curates egg - good in parts. Their price for a basic set of 100mm Lee filters and holders etc was very competitive so an online order was placed. The items arrived promptly and well packed. However, I wasted a good hour not to mention precious reserves of sanity in trying to mount the various rings and holders onto the lens with no success. Eventually close perusal of Lee filters website videos confirmed that I had been sent a push on version of the filter holder by mistake. A phone call to a polite and helpful person elicited a promise of a correct replacement along with postage stamps to cover the return. The replacement again arrived promptly but no stamps, despite the invoice being clearly annotated for the packer to enclose some! I have sent the erroneous item back at personal expense and suggested that a cheque to cover my costs and time may be appropriate. We shall see !
Update 2 weeks later - no sign of a refund. The lesson is clear. I should have kept the errant goods hostage until return postage was supplied. Or dealt with a firm that is capable of sending the correct item in the first place. Downgraded to 2 stars as a result.
