It seems as if those who run Kew Gardens have wished for years that the pesky public just wouldn t come and would leave them in peace to enjoy the plants. Now they have their opportunity, making people book to come, on the hour, even when there is little benefit from a public health perspective in doing so. In the guise of being Covid-secure they are restricting access in a frankly abominable way, whilst begging on their website for cash as, unsurprisingly, numbers are down. The mind boggles. Try Richmond Park instead.
