Jessie Russell Review of Squatters Pub Brewery

We were "greeted" by a herd of Hostesses who seemed offended that we were there, and were unkind. Through phone calls and customers in and out they kept talking about how busy they were going to be, exasperated, but by the time we left at noon the restaurant was still at least half empty (not that a full establishment would have validated their poor attitudes). Our waiter, Joe, was kind and reasonably attentive. A nice respite from the company we'd been keeping at the door while we waited for our party.
I discovered that Squatters charges for sharing a meal. It's not much, but still feels very punitive and retaliatory. At the very least we should be informed of the charge before receiving it.
In our party of 9, many were underwhelmed with their meals, myself included. Not that anything was terrible, it just doesn't seem to be worth the price tag anymore. Specifically, the Buffalo moco loco was bland, as was the roadhouse skillet. The scones were good. We ended up agreeing that the food here seems to have declined as compared to our memories of years past. I also wish there were padded seating available. I really like the ambiance here but this is no longer on my list of places worth giving my business to.
