Some people can't seem to judge a place. It's very easy to see this place is a casual, mainly seafood spot overlooking the water. Yes, it's touristy, but like most things in life if you keep things realistic and in perspective, you'll know what to expect and will not be let down. It isn't and doesn't bill itself as "exquisitely fine dining".... It specializes in typical casual seafood dishes - fried, broiled, rolls, chowder, burgers, etc. It's priced as a normal person would expect a summery, seafoody, touristy place to be priced. It wasn't cheap but also wasn't overpriced. My wife, myself and 5 year old went twice over 3 days because the food was fresh, it was convenient and had a nice view. Lobster rolls were fresh - not the best - but satisfying and filled "fairly". I had a crab cake sandwich which was basic but also was priced basic. The fried calamari was tender, but the mixed drinks were a bit weak but priced strong. You can walk-in wearing shorts, a t-shirt and sneakers, so it made a for a good, fast lunch spot. Waitresses were pleasant, service was good enough and we were there to have a tasty, casual bite, enjoy ourselves and chose not to compare it to Select Oyster Bar in Boston because it's apples and oranges. Go in expecting what it really is and you shouldn't be disappointed. We're from Long Island so we know good seafood, but the key is to set the proper expectations - it's not "fine" seafood - it's "lunch" seafood. I see people stating "it wasn't worth it" but the prices weren't outrageous, so what wasn't worth it? Two adults and a 5 year old averaged $55 over two visits (with 1 alcoholic drink and one lobster roll each time). We can't go to Applebee's for much less. What are people expecting? No, I have no affiliation to the restaurant but I dislike two-sentence reviews that bash a place without supporting their opinion. I sometimes read reviews before going and tend to expect more effort by people - my mistake. FYI...Due to our lovely environment today, there are no menus. You need to scan a QR code on your phone and it will bring you to their menu.
