I had the handle on my freezer suddenly brake while trying to open the door. I called for repairs and was told the door would have to be replaced. I thought it was a bit much, because the handle didn't break, but the piece attached to the handle and the freezer door actually broke.

I called to check on the status today and was told I was denied a repair, because I was found to be "negligent due to improper use". I asked how and they had no answer for me.

I am beyond upset and frustrated. I have paid for a service I cannot or am being denied its use! I purchased a 3yr warranty. 2020 is my third year on this warranty and after almost 3yrs, this is the first time I have called for a repair even though I've been dealing with an ice maker issue for at least a year and a half or two. They offered me no solutions to even have the handle fixed! It is a covered part and they have refused to cover it. While the technician was here, I asked about extending the warranty in which he told me I would have to call in for that. I'm so glad I never called to extend this service, because they have shown me that they do not provide a service, just take your money for a warranty they fully intend to never enact or stand behind. Last time I use sears for ANYTHING!
