My brother, sister and I wanted to send you a quick note to express our sincere appreciation for the high quality effort that Senior Planning Services ("SPS") put into the Medicaid application for our Mom. We feel so fortunate that Sunrise recommended SPS to us, and that Deena Teichman at SPS was assigned as our case manager.

We had heard many horror stories about the Medicaid process, and knew that our application was going to be very complicated due to our Mom's extensive health issues, the use of private caregivers, cash transactions, etc. during the five year look back required by Medicaid. We knew that we in no way had the time nor experience necessary to prepare the application, and that we really needed serious professional help if we were going to have a timely and favorable outcome.

We were initially concerned about the cost of SPS's services, but they were worth every penny, and then some, and they counted towards our Mom's paydown to qualify for Medicaid.

From the very beginning, Deena was extremely professional, very easy to work with, organized, patient and she responded in a timely fashion to all of our many questions. In addition, and not to be understated, she gave us tremendous comfort and confidence that our case was in the best hands, and she eliminated most of the anxiety that would typically come from this process.

Our application was filed on July31,2019, and we received our approval on September 16, 2019, with no follow up questions or requests being made, a true testament to the comprehensive and organized nature of Deena's application. We would never have been able to achieve this outcome on our own, and we would likely have had to personally bare the extensive financial burden of our Mom's care for years to come.
