Scott Pinkerton Review of Grand Design RV

I live in California but purchased my Reflection 27RL in Las Vegas Nv. because Mike Thompson RV didn't have this model. After purchase I have repaired 8 shade tensioners that are screwed into a 1/4 inch walls that don't hold. I glued Molly's in place to hold them. I removed my bedroom door and re installed it because it fell off. The hardware srews had pulled out My table pedestal was cracked from top to bottom. I took it apart and glued the crack and reinforced it and reinstalled it with larger floor screws. The landing leg pins came apart
And the springs came out the back. I bought new / better ones. I glued and nailed 12 feet of loose moulding throughout the trailer. The moulding around the doors are glue on decals. Half of them are bubbled and not adhering. There were so many wood shavings in the heater chamber I took two hours to clear the smoke from the trailer on my initial heater start up. It took two weeks to get the smoke smell out. There is some smoke damage. Now to top this off we just finished our first dry camp vacation in the mountains. The water heater wont run on gas. I called Mike Thompson RV in Colton Ca. Who is 56 miles away but the closest for service. It took two days to finally talk to someone in service. Each call went to voice mail. No one got back to me. I finally demanded a person. They might get me in at the end of September. Almost two months. Especially since I didn't buy it there. Your dealers wine and dine you to sell you a unit but your followup service is unacceptable. This is a one star dealer when it comes to service as all his 4 dealers are. You claim your the best but your warranty service dealers are the worst. Your fit and finish is shoddy. Your no better than the cheap trailers. You just have nicer appliances. Yeah RV sales are at there highest but you can't even try to keep up with warranty service. This isn't just my rant. You see this everywhere. RV manufactures should somehow be held legally accountable for this terrible business practice. We should be able to take our RV's to reputable service centers that don't sell them. Class action anyone? I personally know of over twenty pissed off owners in my RV club that have the same problem. No, all aren't Grand Design.
My trailer is nice looking but looks can be deceiving. Hopefully Winnebago will take more time. I doubt it.
