Bill Hubbell Review of Hancock Consulting Group

I had a poor experience with this company and was shocked at what I witnessed during a "Ladder Assist". What is a ladder assist when the Adjuster showed up in slippers and never got on a single roof facet during the appointment. This wasn't anything like the "Roof Access Assistance" I am familiar with. I have provided countless as a Highly Credentialed Roofer with UL Rated ladders up to 60' long, not fold up ladders
As a Roofer assisting Insurance Adjusters is not new to me; however I have never had one of them ask me to do their job for them, or provide data that would have bearing on the issues that resulted in them becoming involved. I have had Insurance Adjusters ask me my opinion and declined to provide one based on ethical conflict of interest, just as I have never solicited any owner or their representative if encountered while providing "Roof Access", and explained that "Ethically it creates a conflict of interest, plain and simple.
There are Industry Recognized Institutions with very strict credentialing protocol, and a "Code of Ethics" That do not focus on servicing only Insurance Companies, unless as Umpires between the Insurance Company and the Businesses that serve those who feel that they did not get treated fairly when the "Insurance Appraisal Process" is evoked. Sadly they exist to help level the playing field of a system that should not require outside help.
I'm not here to bash the guys who work for this Company, they have mouths to feed, and are doing what they are "Trained to Do"; however when only one type of client is served it commonly is with altruistic motives. It is very much the expert that chooses to only work for the prosecutor or the defense, when the fairest serve both sides.
As an advocate of fairness I am merely attempting to point out that "The Ladder Assist" is not the same as providing "Roof Access", witnessing this was an experience that I will never forget.
Training by an Engineering Company that specializes in assisting Insurance Companies, is of no comparison to Credentialing by the Number 1 Institution that credentials Registered Roofing Observers, and Registered Roofing Consultants, which has a strict code of Ethics and is very selective of who they credential, as well as whom those Credentialed members may serve.
For clarification just Google "Roofing Consultants", or "Forensic Roofing Consultants", "Building Envelope Consultants", and let Google's Search results illustrate what it takes to be a qualified expert. If these experts provided a "Ladder Assist" it could add immense value in promoting Fairness. I trust Search Engine Ranking Positions, and believe they yield the truest results for who is the real deal, and can filter out altruistic business models. That's fair isn't it?
