Although I normally love Embassy Suites (even had my wedding at one), this one is in great need of a remodel.
The room: Our original room had a broken air conditioning that couldn't be fixed. Our new room the air conditioning didn't work at all in the one bedroom, which we approached the front desk multiple times with no luck. At over 90 degrees most days this lead to a very hot room. The carpet was peeling at the edges. The kitchen sink leaked everywhere anytime we used it. There was no cold water in any of our bathrooms, only very hot. The most concerning however was on our last morning I woke to wallpaper pealing off the wall exposing a lot of black mold. Very scary considering we had just spent 6 nights in this room with our young toddlers.
The hotel: Ice machines on all floors didnt work most days. The pool was ok, small but decent. It seemed to be quite cold on our last few days as well as the hot tub almost like warm. Maybe an issue with the heating? The bathroom in the pool was out of order the entire week we were here. The hot tub appeared to have a milky/cloudy appearance. So much that I felt uncomfortable being in it.
Food: Breakfast was ok, one of the breakfast ladies, Veronica, was amazing and very attentive. The cocktail hour pretty much had the same food every single day, veggies and dip, chips and salsa, and stale animal cookies.
One other issue was at check in we were simply handed our keys. The gentleman checking us in didn't describe anything about the hotel, didn't notify us on breakfast or cocktail hours, and didn't give us any drink tickets.
Unfortunately I wouldn't come back to this location, not at least until a major remodel happens.
