I won't say much about Hagia Sophia as so much has been said by others, except that it is an absolute must-see and should be one of your absolute priorities during your visit. I highly recommend the hiring of a private guide, for which I paid TRY70 for around 45 minutes. Sophie would have been amazing even without a guide, but I would have missed out on quite a bit of information and the expert knowledge was easily worth the fee asked.
