Before I even get to the place I have a pretty embarrassing experience...for equinox of course. I waited 10 minutes with minimal information to be transferred to an incredibly rude membership advisor. I called to ask for membership information. I expressed that I live on the Upper West Side and wanted a gym with a pool. The membership advisor would not offer pricing information or a trial. He then said he won t apologize that equinox isn t for everyone and asked me if I gave free trials at the gym that I own. I mentioned that I owned a gym. He hung up the phone after repeating that equinox isn t for everyone and it s a private gym before I could ask again for membership pricing or agree to come visit a location. I am honestly dumbfounded at how terrible of a sales call it was, on a professional level as much as a personal one. To be clear, I didn t ask for a free trial. I just said that I wanted to try it before committing to a membership. Is this how it always works?
