HOTEL OVERBOOKED AND CANCELLED MY RESERVATION. Long story. On July 14 I booked a 2 queen room, using choice hotel points, for Oct 11-12. Moments before I arrived, Oct 11, Mickie the manager called me and said choice over booked and I no longer had a room. She said that they only had a king available for the first night and nothing the second. Also all of downtown hotels were sold out. I got on my choice app and discovered I could book 2 king rooms at napoleon for the first night, and I did. Using more points. My original reservation was canceled by Mickie and my points were NEVER REFUNDED. I called several times for 2 weeks before Mickie finally talked to me. She blamed choice, said she would call me back and never did. I called choice and they say they have to speak with the hotel manager, Mickie. Well, she won't take their calls. Lousy communication skills going on with Mickie. I booked almost 100 days in advance. How on God's earth was I the one to lose my room. So no refund, cost me twice the points to stay there just one night, cost more points to book a hotel out by the airport for my second night, and had to pay $50 for Uber to get downtown and back from the airport hotel. I travel for work. 200+nights a year. I know hotels. This should never happen. Don't book here.
