I would have given this hotel 4.5 but couldn t and why not a 5 you might say. I am a Lifetime Titanium Elite with Marriott which only means I sleep Marriott beds more than my own. This hotel is convenient to ATL so I chose it for my stay after a couple of days working in Alabama. When I arrived I chose to use mobile key! Got to the room and the key didn t work. Went down to front desk and picked up regular key card. Back to the 15th floor and was able to enter the room. As a Lifetime member I am upgraded to a nice suite or some other type of upgraded room. On this stay no upgrade and the hotel wasn t near capacity. The room was nice and clean but pretty much a normal king hotel room. With my status I am given complimentary breakfast or access to the concierge lounge. The next morning I awoke and proceeded to the lounge and was treated by a very friendly hostess and nice lounge area. The food offered was not good. Powdered eggs cold soft waffles and an assortment of pastries and fruit. All of the other lounges I ve ever been in had real eggs not powdered. Needless to say I didn t eat because I only stay at full service Marriott locations when I have to and am typically able to get a real breakfast onsite. I proceeded to the front desk and asked about the breakfast in the restaurant. The front desk supervisor asked what room I was in and he explained I had complimentary breakfast in the lounge. After I explained my case he was totally understanding and escorted me to the restaurant where I was able to get a great breakfast. This hotel has some of the best customer service I ve experienced in the Marriott (granted I haven t experienced much bad). When needing to be near the ATL airport this is a wise choice. If I could make one recommendation. Please place room number directional arrows or signs somewhere as you exit the elevator. The 15th floor had nothing so I wen the wrong way looking for my room.
