Brought our beloved Bulldog Mr. Bentley through a referral from our primary vet because he scratched his cornea and developed a tiny ulcer. The entire staff was friendly, warm and courteous. We saw Dr. Kay Kim. She was efficient and straightforward and the attending staff in the room, (maybe they were residents or interns) were very kind and attentive to what she was doing and had to say. Both the nurses & other staff inside the examination room before Dr. Kim came in, as well as Dr. Kim provided quite a thorough eye examination, not only on the affected eye but also on his other one, which we found to be quite helpful. She discussed Bulldogs propensity to have eye issues and said overall, Mr. Bentley has great conformation and healthy eyes. In the eye that isn t affected by the ulcer, she explained he has extra eyelashes, but they re not problematic. In the affected eye, she did indeed find his ulcer. After finding the issue, Dr. Kim gave us a thorough explanation of her findings and a recommendation of what to do: A Diamond Burr Debridement, which she explained has a 90-95% success rate. Taking her advice, we decided to have it done and they performed the procedure right away.

After it was done, Dr. Crabtree came out and told us how it went. She was extremely kind, friendly and thorough, going through the discharge instructions with us.

We are scheduled to come back after 2 weeks for a follow up. At that time, we are scheduled to see Dr. Sapienza then, (Dr. Kim won t be in on that date) and we hear nothing but AMAZING things about him, which is exceedingly comforting. Several of my fellow Bulldog mama friends bring their pets to see Dr. Sapienza and can t say enough positive things about him. I very much look forward to meeting him and having him meet our Mr. Bentley!

I do a lot of volunteer work for Bulldog rescue organizations, and through this activity know that many of my friends and fellow Bulldog owners in the area bring their pets to LIVS and rave about them. I have to agree: The staff was very kind, considerate and efficient and when worried about a beloved pet, this goes an exceptionally-long way.

Thank you again for your professionalism and care. You could readily tell everyone on staff loves what they do and enjoys helping others. Juliette at the front desk was very welcoming and kind, as was everyone else we met. This helps considerably where our pets health is concerned; kindness and warmth go such a long way.

All the best,
Mr. Bentley s family
Aka Kim & Jerry Clarke

PS We also just received a follow up call, this is the next day, from Dr. Crabtree, which was very much appreciated, to see how Mr. Bentley was doing. I told her and then we discussed what we should expect to see from Mr. B in these next coming days. Once again, her friendly demeanor, professionalism and kindness was welcoming and reassuring. Thank you so much.
