We bought our 2015 Lancer from Coastal Credit in 2014. The only issue I had was when my husband broke his ankle so I had requested they hold the payment for 2 weeks until I got paid because my husband was out of work because he couldn't drive because it was the right ankle that broke and he drove a semi. DOT kind looks down looks down on that. Anyways they didn't take the payment out like I had requested, but they also didn't take the makeup payment out, so ultimately that made us 1 month behind on our payment. They would call everyday and I would ignore the calls. Finely one day I answered the phone, and the guy was nice and helpful. He stated that we had had the vehicle for 2 years and we paid on time with every payment they could help us get our account in good standings. He did exactly that. He moved the missed payment to the end of our loan, and it never reflected on our credit report. It was a combination of faults between them and me messing up on the paper request to move the payment for that month, but thankfully they helped us fix it and we stayed in good standings with them. After that I have not missed anymore payments, and have not gotten anymore unwanted calls from them. The other day we traded in our Lancer for a VW and have gone through a different finance company and I am terrified to deal with the new company because I have read their reviews and they are awful. I'm just going to hope and pray that I have a good experience with the new company the way I did with Coastal Credit. Thank you Coastal credit for helping us in our time of need, and for getting our credit better. I would recommend Coastal Credit to anybody.
