We trusted CallRail to keep track of our organizations phone calls. We utilized their service since early 2016 to record all incoming/outgoing phone calls.
When I tried to play back a call earlier this month (July 2019) the call recording was unavailable, but there was a message for me to click and go to a page which stated they lost most recordings due to "human error".
The good thing is that I do have access to my call logs, so I can see the date, time and duration of the calls, but I can't listen to them again. There were no backups created of my important calls, those are gone forever.
I'm attaching two screenshots, one from the message when I try to play a lost call, and one which is taken from the page that goes over the issue in detail.
At this point, all I can do going forward is backup my recordings, at least the recordings are good quality, but I feel like it's now my responsibility to ensure that the calls are backed up.
