Unfortunately, we, a company of 10, did not have a stellar experience during our visit to Substance. Expectations were high and that is always dangerous. We were given a 7 course menu, and it should be fair to say that several of the dishes were quite excellent. But ... the wine menu that followed the dishes was a very mixed pleasure, and when we asked if there was an alternative to the dish in question, the answer was no !. We were a bunch of M / K and when one of Merne gently asked if you could ask for some bread for the (very) small dishes, the answer was no! - with the result that we were two who had to go home in the fridge afterwards !!. The presentation of the food was incredibly sloppy and was ripped off with great urgency. AND ... the toilets are not worth a visit.
So, unfortunately, the conclusion was that it takes a long time, if ever, before we make our way past Substance. There was too little substance.
