Overall I like this school a lot. I would have gave it four stars but I'll explain my reasons. I do give it 4 stars for the education to price ratio, it is probably one of the best investments IF you know what you want to do in life.

It's almost impossible to get the important transferrable college unit classes you need because of over crowding (which is typical for Jr.Colleges). But there are too many students who are not serious about education, so they take up space in a class, and end up dropping within a month. e.g. On average i have had three classes that were packed full of 40+ students, by the middle of semester my class sizes dwindled down to less than 20 (sadly los angeles dropout rates are so high). Now I understand that this is the student's fault not the school's but i disagree because the registration dates for students seemed to be done by raffle and not by gpa/units completed. And they need to add more prerequisite for the intensive science classes (they say they have changed it starting 2014 but we'll see).

Theres always construction. Never ending construction. You would think that this a good think but it's only good if the construction doesn't lasts years. when I started going to this school there was construction, my sister who went 4 years before said there was a lot construction too. I kind of just wish the work was done so we could have more available classes. Also the quality of professors is sporadic, theres are a lot extremely capable well informed professional professor, mixed with lousy ones, and there seems to be few who are in between. I have passed a class leaving with the thought of "what the hell did i just learn anyways?" from this class.. not a really good feeling considering I'm paying to be educated and not paying to just earn free units.
