The Wine Train is one of those attractions you have to experience while you are in the Napa Valley. It is a unique combination of vintage train transportation and top notch dining experience. It is suitable for out of town relatives and quests, as well as those who live in the North Bay or any part of the greater San Francisco Bay. The seatings are comfortable and spacious, the food is delicious and well prepared the staff is attentive. We loved it. Our caveat is to ask questions, there was a service charge for assisting our elderly father in law onto the train, perfectly understandable, but unmentioned until the reckoning came: it would have been good to know. Almost all wine is billed separately from the price of the meal and train: water is complementary. Neither is shocking; but it would be nice to know at the start when you are setting it up. We will be back: it was great.
