I purchased a 2009 Ford Flex in 2011. It had 40,000 miles on it when I bought it, and today it has 68000. The Flex has been in service multiple times for different issues. I have asked them to check the brakes several times from the day I bought the car. Occassionally, there is a grinding or rubbing sound which to me sounds like the brakes need to be replaced. They have assured me that the brakes are fine and that is how they are supposed to sound. There also seems to be a randomly repeating problem with the RPM's winding out if I accelerate too quickly. They of course can't find anything wrong. I know something is off and that's not how the car is supposed to run. I also understand if they can't find the problem it is tough to fix. I brought the car to them to repair the sunroof after it exploded while I was driving down the freeway. They repaired the sunroof okay although I had to bring it back because the sunroof was making a rubbing sound when it opened and closed and twice for them to clean up the glass in the car. I originally brought it to the dealership to fix the sunroof because I thought that would be the best option. In hindsight I would not do that again. I guess i was thinking they would detail the car so that it looked better than when I brought it in. I am also partly frustrated (yes, I know it is a used car) but with the low miles it has on it I don't believe there should be this many problems, I do recognize that that is a Ford issue not a varsity Lincoln issue. After every service call I have filled out the service cards that are left in the car so you can rate their service and on each one I have written "please call me regarding the service on this car" along with poor marks for service. I have never gotten a call back. I guess I really like to be wowed with customer service which can go a long way in making up for poor quality issues with a product. Overall, I seem to prefer Ford products over most other brands. I am looking to buy a larger SUV and I've begun to look at GMC and Chevy as good alternatives. I will say that the shuttle drivers are very nice I would definitely not buy from Varsity again.
