Let me start off by saying I've experienced other drive-ins so I had a standard in my mind before we got there. Have passed by this place many times and apparently missed it (totally had no idea it existed, plus it's inconspicuous). I'm all for trying new things but was a bit disappointed appointment how tiny it was. If you got there early and choose the watch the movie from your car method, you were jammed up too close to the projector screen. If you had to park behind the cars in the first row, you run the risk of not seeing the full screen. Either way you would have issues seeing the screen with ease. Cars were jammed too close together which made it RIDICULOUS to have your windows up 75% (Covid rule) when you were an arms length from the neighboring car. The staff was really nice but it was weird seeing them walking around during the movie. Also, could hear people talking. Distracting. I'm all for eclectic but this place looked trailer park trashy...guess that's what "urban" means?! Finally, the Cornucopia popcorn was too, too salty. This experience was overpriced for what you got. The Stars and Stripes drive-in in New Braunfels is spacious, organized and less expensive. Blue Starlite was a decent date night but don't think we will be returning.
