Where do I start... if I can Give this hospital a NEGATIVE 10 stars I would!!!! My 83 year old father fell from the roof on his house and was taken there with a fractured skull including internal bleeding in the skull. It s been as I type This 4 hours and no doctor has seen him. He was negligently released from some hospital in Arecibo telling him nothing was wrong with him. Well hours later he s bleeding through his ears and lord and behold the attending dr looked at his ct scan and realized there is a fracture so they send him to this center medico hospital. Now fast forward 4 hours he has been there Lounging in the hallway hospital!!!! And no dr has seen him. I call To speak to management or the nursing supervisor. I get Transferred from the I guess security to the EMERGENCY room. And I ask To talk to someone in English she answers no English and hangs up!!! I called A total of 4 times and she did the same thing!!!! I would Say that being in a tourist area you would have someone working in the emergency room that talks English. But nope they just hang up on you!!!!! I spoke to security and he said The process is the dr has to see him and there are about 100 patients here tonight and only 1 doctor!!!! You got to be kidding me no trauma dr, no ICU dr, no intensivist dr on staff. Just one dr and god forbid he has to do surgery and you have someone dying outside I can Guarantee you will die. I will Be researching who runs that hospital and I can Guarantee you that I wil Send them a letter as well. The lack of professionalism as I got Hung up on and the lack of staff is absurd. As much as I hate To say this and yes i am Puertorican. I am Embarassed, ashamed and overall saddened by the lack of medical attention that island has. So to anyone wanting to visit this island I pray You will never have to encounter an emergency medical situation. They are going steadily down to a third world country service
