Firsr ever stay with Sofitel
- valance sheet around the bed was stained
- no menu for room service, took 2 phonecalls to reception to be emailed a menu
- room had no towels, another call to reception required
- when checking out I discovered my credit card was charged for accommodation despite me confirming to the agent at check-in that I had prepaid.
- I was assured I didn t need to do anything but 6 days later my card is still charged and I haven t been contacted. My attempts to contact the hotel are ongoing but I have received no replies.
When the mistake was spotted at check-out, a manager looked over the issue and offered no apologies or assurances. The staff I interacted with were pleasant but error-prone and did not follow up to rectify errors. I have wasted so much time trying to be billed correctly. Truly horrible.
