Waited in line for 20 minutes to get into this place. Was with a group of 5 friends and we were all dressed nicely, but everyone in front and behind us were in suits/very fancy dress. We thought we weren't getting in but when we got to the front and the bouncer looked at our IDs and told us to wait until more people left, we were excited. However, an employee walked upstairs, looked at us, had a quick chat to the bouncer and then asked us to leave, saying that it was "just too full tonight". He didn't ask the people in suits behind us to leave, though, and the bouncer certainly had no problem with our group in the lead up. This employee bloke just took one look at us and told us it's just not happening, but he didn't even have the guts to say why. It was very thoughtful of him to preface this with "I don't want to waste any more of your guys' time" after we'd been waiting 20+ minutes to get in.
